CBD MAY HELP EASE YOUR HORSE’S…

  • Anxiety
  • Colon and digestive health
  • Muscle spasms and seizures
  • Pain from cancer or arthritis
  • Poor appetite
  • Poor appetite

These are just a few of the many disorders that CBD oil can treat.

The amount of CBD required depends on the condition and weight of your pet. Horses usually weigh about 6 to 8 times more than the average person. Horses in general usually require higher doses of CBD to achieve an effect.

All animals make cannabinoids naturally, to help keep their endocannabinoid system (EDS) functioning optimally.

Supplementation of CBD is used to enhance and/or optimise the EDS or increase the amount of CBD available in the body to help treat certain problems and diseases.

No signs of toxicity or serious side effects have been observed following chronic administration of cannabidiol to healthy humans, even in large acute doses of 700 mg/day.

In the case of horses, racehorse trainers have been using as much as 1,000 mg, and some have given as much as 2,000 mg for pre-race purposes without any adverse effects noted.

General dosing guidelines for Poweredbynature´s CBD oils:

General Health: 50-100 mg/day
Chronic Pain: 100 to 250 mg/day
Stomach problems/Acid Reflux: 80 to 100 mg/day
Anxiety: 60-80 mg/day
Performance: 200 to 1,000 mg

NOTE: Like humans, every horse is different and how CBD will work will be different from each individual horse. Experimentation is the way to go, to find what works best on your horse. Start with a small dose and then gradually scale up until you find that "sweet spot" that gives the results you are looking for.

For pre-race or pre-performance, its not uncommon for trainers to give 500 to 1,000 mg prior to competition.
